Once again, Happy Birthday Mr Dylan.
I like the nature of this video and chose it for mildly sentimental reasons; one of the first songs I learned to play on guitar. The first two, actually, were Heart of Gold and Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door. Nothin like a few chords and a guitar, right?
This is actually my favorite epoch of Bob. The Rolling Thunder Revue is bossss.
I wanted to post a vid, but most are just a still image set to the jams and really, you have to watch him in his big flower’d hat and NOXZEMA face to get into the groove.
The man really knows how to reinvent his songs.
It occurred to me tonight that perhaps he is the “madonna” for boys, long long ago before we had her, but nonetheless, he is the quintessential icon for males who have anything on the ball. He needs to live forever because a world without him would be beyond devastating. Greatest songwriter there ever was and will be.
